No Carer Written Off
In December 2008 The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads - Caring for Carers hosted a roundtable meeting with Work and Pensions Secretary James Purnell.
The meeting focussed on the interaction between the welfare benefits system, which is UK-wide, and the social care systems which vary among the four nations of the UK.
Experts from the four nations put forward their own experiences and Professors Caroline Glendinning and David Bell compared UK social care systems to those in other developed countries.
