Carer Emergency Back-Up Card

Through the Carers Emergency Card service we hope to help end the anxiety and confusion that occurs in such situations and give you a sense of security and peace of mind.

The idea is very simple. You carry the yellow card with you and should you have an accident or be taken ill it will immediately let people know that someone is depending on you.

When the card is found it clearly instructs the finder to ring the emergency telephone number and give your name and emergency number. The telephone number goes directly to the Emergency Line at Redditch Lifeline, which is staffed 24 hours a day.

The Lifeline staff hold the information you gave us on your application form. They will immediately know who to contact and what to do in an emergency.

The CARERS EMERGENCY CARD is bright yellow, to ensure it attracts attention. It is the same size as a credit card so that it can easily be carried in a wallet, purse or pocket. If you would prefer a larger size card, simply indicate this on your application form.

If you wish, the person you care for can also be issued with a card to carry. This will provide you with the added peace of mind that, should they be involved in an emergency, help will be at hand.
