Integrated Interventions

Funding available for voluntary sector and statutory partners.

Forming strategic partnerships to support young carers and their families

Using a large proportion of an award from the Department for Education, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is delighted to launch the Integrated Interventions programme open to partnerships consisting of Third Sector organisations and a statutory partner who are working in England only.

The Integrated Interventions programme is focused on supporting the development of ‘partnership sites’ who will work together to embed family focused approaches specifically focusing on early intervention and prevention of excessive or harmful caring and improving integrated interventions for young carers (aged under 18) and their families across England.

There will be a one stage application process and applicants are asked to demonstrate how their proposed projects meet the following four specific programme aims:

  • Families resilience is increased to prevent or reduce the amount of excessive or harmful caring undertaken by young carers under 18 in England
  • The partnership ensures a ‘no wrong door’ approach to service provision and practice within statutory and voluntary sector stakeholders to prevent or reduce the amount of excessive or harmful caring undertaken by young carers under 18 in England
  • Sustainable whole family approaches are developed at all levels and by all partners to prevent or reduce excessive or harmful caring undertaken by young carers under 18 in England
  • Knowledge, skills and resources developed from partnership sites that demonstrate the prevention or reduction of excessive or harmful caring are made available. *

It is anticipated that approx. nine partnerships across the nine English government regions will be awarded a maximum of £65,000 each to deliver services to young carers aged under 18 and relevant family members from March 2012.

Please download the application pack (529 KB) and this budget form (36 KB) and read through the guidelines (350 KB) in full before attempting to complete the application form.

You will need to submit an electronic copy of the application form and a completed budget by 6th February 2012.

Completed hard copy applications must then be received by post at the Trust no later than 5pm, 10th February 2012.
