Young Carers Workers Conference 2009

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers organised and hosted its seventh annual young carers workers conference on 24-25 March in Harrogate.

The two day event was well attended with 166 delegates including representation from all nations, workers from within the Trust’s network and other providers, as well as a strong contingent from the statutory sector. It provided practitioners an opportunity for training, networking and up to date policy information.

Keynote speakers were Baroness Delyth Morgan, Minister for Children, Young People and Families and ministerial lead for young carers and Dr Phillippa Russell, chair of the Standing Commission on Carers. Download Dr Russell's presentation (107 KB)
