The Department for Education funded Carers Trust between 2010 and 2012 to build a collection of practice examples to support those who commission or develop services.
Whilst young carers will have many shared experiences, each young person’s caring role and its impact on them will be unique. Some services respond to this by providing particular support focused on groups or individual young carers.
Our Retirement on Hold report highlights some of the challenges faced by older carers and makes recommendations to improve their experience now and in the future. Thank you to all the carers and Network Partners who contributed.Area of Care:
Pharmacies are visited by about 1.6 million people every day in England so they are ideally positioned to identify carers of all all ages including young carers. They can therefore play a key role in the early initiation of assessment and support which can be life changing.Area of Care:
