The law relating to carers differs across the UK. The Scottish Parliament has responsibility for health, the NHS and social care, so most of the legislation which affects carers in Scotland is discussed in the Scottish Parliament.
Carers Trust Wales and the Royal College of Nursing are delighted to have been able to explore an adaptation of the Triangle of Care to meet the needs of carers of people with dementia in acute hospitals in Wales.
Designed with teachers and schools staff, this resource helps make the identification and support of young carers in schools in primary and secondary schools in Wales as easy as possible.
Young carers are a vulnerable and disadvantaged group, who often experience difficulties in their education.
