Awareness and support for young adult carers has vastly increased along with recognising the importance of dedicated support and services as they grow into adulthood.
Going to university gives young people the chance to become independent, carve out their own identity and get the skills they need to embark on their chosen career.
Thanks to funding provided by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme, a group of organisations from Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and Austria are working to find new ways to support young carers.
